Planned Power Outage - 11th April 2024


A planned power outage will affect Little Wolford on Tuesday 11th April 2024 between 09:00 and 16:00.

As part of National Grid's extensive tree cutting programme, they need to carry out work on the High Voltage Electricity network supplying the Little Wolford area. For further information, please visit:

Residents are advised to switch off and unplug potentially sensitive electrical appliances.

Residents Panel Invitation


The Voice of Warwickshire (VoW) is a residents panel managed by Warwickshire County Council. VoW are currently recruiting for new panel members - applications are open until 11th May 2024. Members need to be 18 or over and live within Warwickshire. There will be around 4 surveys a year, participating in a variety of subjects. Previous subjects have included Library Service, Climate Change and Warwickshire Fire and Rescue Service.

Great Wolford Road Closure - 7th March 2024


Please be aware that the Village Road, Great Wolford (D6705) and Barton on the Heath Road (C54) will be closed on Thursday 7th March 2024 and Friday 8th March 2024, between the hours of 9.30am and 3.30pm on each day.  This closure is required to enable carriageway patching and associated works to be carried out.

The Wolfords Spring Clean - 16th March 2024


Volunteers from The Wolfords are invited to join us for a community Spring Clean (litter pick) on Saturday 16th March 2024

This will start at 10.30am - the meeting points are as follows:

  • Great Wolford residents - Outside the Church.
  • Little Wolford residents -  The Wolfords Village Hall.  

Some equipment (such as bags and litter grabbers) will be provided, but volunteers should bring their own gloves and, if possible, hi-viz vests/jackets.

All volunteers will be rewarded with refreshments at The Wolfords Village Hall afterwards (until 1.30pm).     

Public Survey - Warwickshire's Rights of Way


Warwickshire County Council are undertaking a public survey to gain the views of as many people as possible prior to drafting the new Rights of Way Improvement Plan. The survey runs until 7th April 2024.  If you wish to take part in the online survey, then please visit:       

Little Wolford Road Closure - 19th February 2024


Please be aware that the north end of the Little Wolford Road (between Broadmoor Lane and the A3400) will be closed on Monday 19th February 2024 for approximately 2 days, between the hours of 9.30am and 3.30pm on each day.

Resourcing to Risk Consultation - Fire Service


Warwickshire Fire and Rescue (WFRS) is inviting feedback on a proposed change to its service delivery model as part of its Resourcing to Risk approach. The public consultation is now live and will stay open until 10 March 2024.

Burns Night Supper and Ceilidh - 26th January 2024


There will be a Burns Night Supper and Ceilidh on Friday 26th January 2024 at 7pm in The Wolfords Village Hall.  This event will help to raise much-needed funds for the village hall.  Details of the event are still being finalised, but you can expect to enjoy a wonderful haggis feast and exhilarating ceilidh dancing, led by the folk band Brimstone. Please save the date - and keep an eye out for further details, which will be coming very soon.

A planned power outage will affect Little Wolford on Tuesday 23rd January 2024 between 09:00 and 13:00 (NOTE: This was originally scheduled for 15th December 2023).

Christmas Party - The Wolfords Village Hall - 15th December 2023


The organisers of the Save the Fox & Hounds Campaign will be hosting a Christmas 'Pop-up Party' in The Wolfords Village Hall at 6pm on Friday 15th December 2023.

Next Parish Council Meeting

The Annual Meeting of The Wolfords Joint Parish Council, and the Annual Parish Meetings of Great Wolford and Little Wolford, will be held on Tue 28th May 2024 at 7.30pm in Great Wolford Church.
